"I am excited to announce the addition of Hayley Sims to our EKU softball family," Worthington said. "Hayley comes highly recommended both as a coach and a person."

Before her time at Coastal Carolina, Sims was an assistant coach for Dirty South Athletics. While she was there, she helped with leading speed and agility/conditioning workouts, assisted with developing weekly practices, made line-ups, offensive and defensive play calling, scouted opponents, and coached first base.

She was a three-time Ohio Valley Conference tournament champion, three-time OVC regular season champion, and made three NCAA regional tournament appearances. She was named to the OVC Commissioner's Honor Roll and the OVC student governance committee. Sims got her degree in special education from Jacksonville State.

"She has post season experience as a player and knows what it takes to win a championship," said Worthington. "I am looking forward to having her on our staff!"

Sims has been a university/showcase camp instructor at Coastal Carolina, Jacksonville State, University of West Georgia, Jarred Hardin, Champions Showcase, and Tri State Exposure.
